  1. It's a bit weird to see this type of gun on your blog, SG. Not to be offensive, but I thought this was a blog for the Nerf foam blasters. I'm just saying, and I do enjoy what you've done with this blog.

  2. Erik,

Well, its not only foam dart blasters that can be modded, it also includes any other types of blasters that have the potential to be converted and modded to use foam darts, or to be used as conversion shells.

Thats why alot of modders are very keen to get their hands on the new Nerf Super Soaker blasters. :)

  3. Shardbearer,

Possibly... but at least this blaster didn't start out intended to clear toilets and sinks. :)

  4. Would you be putting up a mod guide for this gun in future? Converting this to a dart shooter yeilds pretty good results :)

  5. Ryan =],

Perhaps... depends on when i manage to get around to modding it (got a bunch of other modding projects in development at the moment). :)

  6. The vast majority of water blasters don't work out well for conversions to Nerf, and pretty much none of the 2011 Nerf SS line is any good for converting. They're not even good at water blasting either.

Of course, there have still historically been many SS's released (mostly in the past few years) that are more useful to the NIC than for the water warfare community. However, even now this is not the case for most blasters.

  7. Erm how much does a mod gun cost? Can I have a list of it or something please?

  8. Yang Jj,

There is no standard cost or price for modded blasters, its up to modders to decide what they are worth and it also depends on the quality of the mods done.

  9. Do you mind explaining to me how the trigger mech works? Do you think the trigger itself needs modding to make it shoot darts?

  10. Derick,

The trigger simply opens a valve at the air/water pressure chamber in the front of the blaster.

I guess the trigger doesn't need to be modded, it already does the right job.

  11. Dear SGNerf ,
So could I do a coupler mod to hydro cannon, and unplug the hose connected to the water hose and seal it with epoxy so it can shoot darts ?
    Is this possible ?

  12. B1baduz7,

Yes, thats possible. You could also check the various online Nerf forums for Hydro Cannon modding threads and get some additional ideas on how to mod them too. :)
